New Orleans avoided a direct hit by Katrina but was flooded when the US Government's levees broke. It was the US governments failure to maintain the levees that destroyed New Orleans, not Katrina. What's screwed up is that the Mississippi Gulf Coast, which was destroyed by Katrina, is getting a proportionately larger amount of rebuilding money from the federal government where it wasn't even their fault. I guess it helps to have a republican govenor.

I live in Metairie and at the library I work at the parish had flags at half mast for a couple weeks for the slain deputy. Everyone kept asking what the flags were at half mast for. No one knew about the guy getting shot. Sad.

I played the free trial for a bit. Spent countless hours mining rocks. Pretty to look at graphics but not much variety in them. It's more about economy than combat, but it's interesting. I love space games, but this one was kinda boring. I like X3 better.

Such a rude, intollerant little girl with such an awful voice. She uses the word "Faggoty" with casual ease, like it's a favorite word of her circle of friends. I'd hate to have to be her friend or family member and listen to her "oh my god, like, oh my god," all day.
That being said, teh furries are kinda queer. At least they don't touch children.
