G.I. Joe The MOVIE! - Intro (pwned!)

Starscream Gets What's Always Been Coming To Him

mt256 says...

I think Star Scream's voice = Cobra Commander's voice (GI Joe)

Also I believe this was from the Transformers movie, which was awesome, but also pretty freaky, seeing as how sooooo many characters were murdered in cold energon

Star scream's spirit also makes an appearance on Beast Wars if I remember correctly.

[Oldschool Tom Green] Organized Rhyme - Check the O.R.

mt256 says...

Big up oldschool Canadian massive!

from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organized_Rhyme

"Organized Rhyme was a short-lived Canadian hip-hop group based out of Ottawa renowned for its one commercial hit, "Check the O.R.", and because of the fame later achieved by one of its members, comedian Tom Green.

Organized Rhyme's musical formula consisted of three things: catchy beats, simplistic choruses and clever rhymes. That formula paid off: their first single, "Check the O.R.", was a hit in Canada and was nominated for a Juno Award in 1993 for Best Rap Recording, but lost to "Keep It Slammin'" by Devon.

The group broke up a short time later. Some blame the record label for wanting them to drop the comedic element of the group, but according to members of the group itself, they just couldn't stand each other anymore.[citation needed]

A dance remix of "Check the O.R." was released in 2000. The original music video for "Check the O.R." was included with Green's 2005 rap album, Prepare for Impact."

Barenaked Ladies - Lovers in a Dangerous Time

mt256 says...

A cover of Bruce Cockburn's track. This was their first song to hit the top 40s in Canada - back in 1991.

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barenaked_Ladies
"Barenaked Ladies (often abbreviated BNL or occasionally BnL) is a Canadian alternative rock band currently composed of Jim Creeggan, Kevin Hearn, Steven Page, Ed Robertson, Tyler Stewart, and formerly Andy Creeggan. It formed in 1988 in Scarborough, Ontario, at the time a suburb of Toronto. It is best known for its hit singles, "One Week", "Pinch Me", "If I Had $1000000", and "Brian Wilson", and for its light-hearted, comedic performance style. The band's trademark at live shows is humorous banter between songs, and improvised raps/songs, both of which are staples at almost every concert"

Kids in the Hall - Sausages

mt256 says...

BIG UP CANADIAN MASSIVE!

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kids_in_the_Hall

One of the more surreal short films in the show, containing minimal dialogue and apparently set in a dystopian future society. It features a man (McCulloch) who works at a sausage factory and falls in love with a woman who works there kissing the boxes so they have the company's lipstick logo. Too nervous to talk to her, the man, who had stolen some sausages for his crazy, sausage-obsessed father (Thompson), leaves them on her doorstep and leaves. Knowing he can never lead a normal life while caring for his gibbering idiot father, he resigns himself to loneliness. Most likely a parody/homage to the David Lynch film "Eraserhead".

... SAUSAGES!

World Of Warcraft - Onyxia Wipe (Guild Master goes NUTS)

World Of Warcraft - Onyxia Wipe (Guild Master goes NUTS)

mt256 says...

This is one of those classic clips, if you play WoW
The guild master freaks out when something goes wrong. Its hilarious
I have a t-shirt that says "More dots! More dots!"

From WP (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Onyxia_Wipe):
"Onyxia Wipe is a popular sound clip recorded from a session of World of Warcraft that was widely circulated around the internet, and spawned several longstanding Warcraft-related memes. The sound is of a guild named "Wipe Club" on the server "Chromaggus" attempting to take on Onyxia, a difficult boss."

---------------------------
Here's a bit of an explanation:
-WoW is a MMORPG - thousands of people all playing in the same virtual world. There are currently about 8 million people playing worldwide. That's 0.1% of earth's population
-Guilds are groups of players. They can range from small to very large (hundreds of players)
-Dungeons are the big part of the game - this is wear all the "loot" is, along with big tough bosses. Grouping ranges from 5 to 40 people (>=10 is a "raid")
-This video is of a guild raiding Onyxia's Lair. This is a short dungeon but with a very powerful dragon that takes a long time to defeat. It takes a lot of co-ordination and planning
-As you can see from the video, it doesn't go so well.
-Wipe = everyone dies
-DKP = dragon kill points. players accrue these by running dungeons/raids in order to "purchase" loot. This is not an in-game system. It was thought up of players ages ago. If you do something wrong you can lose points.
-GM = guild master (the dude yelling)
-The 40 man raid is broken up into groups of 5. the GM tells them all what to do
-The fight with onyxia is long and has to be managed. The warriors have to keep the dragon's attention (aggro) because they can take the most damage. Other players attacking could accidentally "steal aggro" and then the dragon would attack them, killing them very quickly
-Welps = baby dragons.
-DPS = damage per second; DoT=Damage over Time
