I'm curious about the dark pile that started inflating quickly around 3:15. It didn't seem to be caused directly by the falling rocks, it was thrust up or forward from some other source.

Wild footage in general though! Would've loved to have been able to hear it properly, but the wind hitting the mic seemed to kill most of the sound.

Oh lawd I'd completely forgotten about Anna Nicole Smith. I'm now very slightly nostalgic for the absolute shitshows of a simpler time.

Would be nice if they also included estimates on ejecta, and how much of the world would be under nuclear winter for how long. The destruction of NYC would clearly be tragic, but the scope of the impact on humanity would make that something of a footnote by comparison.

I'd totally forgotten about that one, but definitely saw it attached to something at the time. Of course in retrospect Phantom Menace would NOT be the #1 movie from 1999 to have watched, and neither it or Austin Powers 2 would even be in my top 5. We had Matrix, South Park, American Beauty, Fight Club, Sixth Sense, Iron Giant, Being John Malkovitch, The Mummy, Ghost Dog... so many good movies that year!

I'm optimistic that the level of creativity and humor presented in the teaser means the team behind the movie has their collective head screwed on straight. The teasers / trailers that worry me are the ones that are just quick cuts of various action scenes and striking landscapes - leaning too heavily on visuals gives me serious misgivings about the writing. When teasers give a taste but legitimately *tease* us (the Matrix is a good example, or the first teaser for LotR) that seems to generally be a great sign.

I did not expect to laugh at this, but oh MAN!
