Advertising sucks. (Sift Talk Post)
Yeah, the Target ad blocking the top 15 list is way over the line.
Magician astounds Stephen Fry, causes him to say bad word
Derren uses a variant of John Kennedy's Mind Power deck, which has misprinted cards that cycle the same 8 cards when displayed from one side (i.e. the 6 of clubs which has the number "4" printed in one corner). To set up the deck, he removes the matching cards from the other side so that they're missing when he flourshes the deck from that side.
He gets the mark to pick a card from the 8 card cycling side. Then he "fishes" for one of the eight cards by making intelligent guesses and watching for reactions. He starts with the King of Diamonds, as most people gravitate to face cards anyways, and gets an immediate hit with Mr. Fry.
He then lights the cigarette, puts the cigarette case (which has a rolled up version of every card the mark can choose) away, and palms the correct rolled up card. He then flourishes the deck from the other side, and while the mark is stunned, palms the card in for the cigarette. A brilliant effect, all in all.
Teller Speaks
He started performing silent before he met Penn. When he was performing for college kids, he found they paid more attention to his act if he stayed silent throughout, and it stuck as part of his schtick.
scenes from the best bad movie of all time (troll 2)
That... WAS AWESOME.
I must find this movie.
Worst Movies Ever
I'm very compatising. I compatise all the time!
Nice choices, though. I'm gonna have to pick up Troll 2 now, it looks wonderfully cheesy.
Jet Li in Kiss of the Dragon
Huge Jet Li fan. I also love his co-star in this, Bridget Fonda. Having said that, this was one of the WORST movies I've ever seen. Bad acting, bad plot, and only decent fight scenes. If you want to see Jet Li at his finest, check out the scene in "Fist Of Legend" where he fights a Japanese general to revenge the death of his sifu.

Sport Acrobatics - Wow
Holy Jeebus. That's some crazy strength and balance. And WAY more interesting to watch than today's Olympics gymnastics events.
A Day in the Life with Horror Legend Bruce Campbell
Oh yeah - any fan of B Movies and horror needs to read "If Chins Could Kill". It's a hilarious read, and gives you an idea of the hell that is a B movie set.
Catholic High School Girls in Trouble
"Kentucky Fried Movie" is a classic spoof film and was a formative experience for many a young man and woman who saw it when it first came out. This scene totally pokes fun at the sexploitation film trailers that were shown in grindhouse theatres during the 70's across the country. It's more than just a funny, bawdy clip with boobies, it's a satire of a fascinating part of 70's Americana. If you love low humor and haven't seen this flick, check it out and be prepared to laugh a LOT.
Dick in a Box: Timberlake on SNL = Hilarious
Dammit! Timberlake's making it hard to hate him when he pulls off comedy gold like this. If more SNL guests were this funny, I'd start watching the show again.
Zombie prank
This is Derren Brown, a mentalist/magician from England. And yes, he's for real. None of his stuff is staged, he uses psychological techniques to get people to do some crazy stuff. You should see the show where he programmed people to commit armed robbery, without ever actually telling them to do it. Pure genius.
