Neil Gaiman wrote about this in one of his Sandman comics... a student from a necropolis went on a "field trip" to participate in this rare ritual done where burying and burning are out of the question. In the comic the bones of the interred were ground up in a mortar and mixed with blood and corn meal as the last step,then the attendants would sit around and have a small meal and trade stories with the gore still on their hands as a sign of respect to the departed.

I would call America the Greatest,but I judge Greatest by different criteria.

Resources,and the management of them,basicly. How self sufficient a country can be if the raw materials the land posesses were properly utilized. We have farmland,oil metal and other harvestable materials ,industry and tecnology ,and the space for a huge population. If our corporate masters had an interest in it,we could provide ourselves the highest standard of living for all citizens if these phenomenal potentials were focused to that end. What other country commands such wealth of assets? And imagine our Gross National Product if we STOPPED tossing money at these other nations.America need Noone in the end.

But,I dream. America was an interesting experiment:give common people the Vote and they'll vote for the happiest Fiction they are shown,and soon our politicians will just do away with that illusion of choice and bring us into the new Corporate Feudalism where we'll be serfs enthralled to the yokes of global conglomerates.

Considering the outcome,I'd say that the election needs serious investigating:900,000 signitures demanding the chance to vote him out means there should have been at least that many votes against Walker.I cannot believe the people of Wisconsin are so quick to forget the protests a handful of months ago...and Republicans are not known for fair play when it comes to protecting their powerbase..

Considering the guy was targetted for no othwer reason than his Race,and that they were enjoying themselves humiliating and hurting him,I would most certainly call this a Hate Crime. Possibly not the technical definition of Hate,but it wasn't Love that motivated these people to screw with someone just standing around minding his own business. And if it means the guilty go away to jail for a longer time,even better. They not only filmed the crime but uploaded it to YouTube so they can share it with their friends!

Isn't life tough enough without things like this happening? Out for a good time? Wonderful. Just don't deny that to others. No mercy shown,no mercy given.

I watched this video,and all I could do was imagine a different setting.

Cenk dressed as a peasant shouting up at some silk clad bejeweled Lord smirking at this comic farce of a discussion. The Lord sips his wine,and sighs as the serf rages on,because he knows that the wall seperating them is high,and the swords guarding the Lord are sharp. The Lord is indulgent,amused,and a few empty words will dismiss this minor irritation to a near perfect day. The senator smirks,because he knows nothing will be done and he can go about his business lining his pockets with whatever scorn is heaped on him,since all it really is to him is empty air.

Lords and serfs. Perpetuating this illusion of a democratic process. When the serfs Occupy someplace embarassingly public,the Lords send the Swords to cut them down.

We ALL should be "personally invested". No apology for mistaken intent can bring you back from the dead if another concerned citizen decides to pop a cap in your ass. This might happen to you. It almost happened to me.

When I was 14 back in the early 80s,I was hanging out with a friend around 4 in the morning in front of his apartment building. We were going fishing and his brother in law was supposed to pick us up. A pair of Big Guys call out to us from up the block,with a VERY Big Dog,and say something like,"What do you guys think you're doing out here?". WE see the guys,we see the dog,we look at each other and we ran inside the apartment building. We head up to his apartment and a few minutes later TWO COP CARS with lights flashing park outside and we hear people get out. We stay quiet and we hear a lot of footsteps walking up the stairs then back down again. Happily,they left and a half hour later we ride off with the brother in law. We weren't doing anything except talking and sitting on the porch,and the whole episode was scarey! I can just imagine how this poor kid felt when he sees Mr Vigilantte chasing him. And I imagine he knew people in authority really don't need a real reason to be nasty,especially to puny minorities.
Why this scumbag is still walking the streets? Who will be the next random victim?

Ron Paul doesn't follow the Party Line. That is,whatever the special interests have paid for the GOP candidate to enact for them. I would like to vote for him myself,being the lesser of the many evils out there,and I cannot vote for Obama,who slid a shiv in the very heart of our Constitution by signing NDAA into law. But the powers that Be,and they Be For Sale,are conspiring to prevent this. Soon this sham of democracy will fold altogeather...to be replaced with what? A new Feudalism? Rich landed lords and all the rest serfs?
