I can understand wanting to teach other methods of problem solving, but to neglect the standard algorithms in favor of calculator reliance is beyond the pale. What happens when your batteries go dead? Huh? What then?

Good God . . . I was raised Christian, I absolutely believe with all my heart that Jesus was the Son of God and died for our sins, etc . . . but I would rather Christians risk being thrown to lions again than see people sucked into this kind of cult mentality. It's brainwashing. My sister got involved with a cult-type "Christian" group, and I've heard some of this stuff almost verbatim from her (esp. the bit about "dead churches" and God choosing who He visits). I could go on for hours about this. E-mail me if you want to hear more.

I am officially dumber for having watched this video. If written language wasn't invented until about 1000 years ago, then how did the renaissance scholars destroy ancient documents? It goes back and forth from "History as we know it is crap" to "History is a giant cover-up." There are just too many internal contradictions there for me to even try to point out. I guess this is just more evidence that once some people get an idea in their head, they decide without any evidence that it must be true - and no one persuade them otherwise.

Uh, farhad? Ever heard of Tiennamen Square? And that's just the most obvious, extreme example . . . I can find hundreds more in a matter of minutes if you want them.

Also, they use tasers because tasers don't leave permanent damage (except in extreme, highly unusual cases). Would you rather be tased and be fine in a couple minutes or be bruised for weeks?

He was a last-second replacement for the newscast that night. I don't think he'd even been on camera before this incident.

I had a class with this guy last fall. He does the weather report for the student newscast now. He's a decent guy.

I'm using Internet Explorer on 1024 x 768. Everything comes up fine in Firefox, so it may just be me or it may be an IE problem. I just thought I'd mention it in case other IE users were having problems. I can email you a screenshot, if you'd like.

This may just be a bug in my browser, but the righthand edge of every video is cut off. This isn't a huge problem, but it is distracting.

I like everything else, though. I was here for the very first videos and I lurk almost every day (this is my first comment). You guys have come a long way.

If the dragon is supposed to be China, then why is it of the Western variety? Seems to me it's just "Hey cool, knights in armor with swords and stuff!" I mean, I'm reeeeealy into politics, and I didn't associate China with this commercial at all.
