Actually... pretty much. They're 4 and 7, so the barns are actually being built for the fairies that live in the backyard... but yep =) Restricting the type of TV that we allow (and the time that we allow) has had a marvelous effect of their imaginations and was one of the best choices that we've made as parents. But that's not to say that screen-time is evil! I think that this guy is demonstrating a fantastic use of his TV.

I only let my kids watch 1 hour of documentary TV per week, but even I can see that the bonding between that father and his daughter far outweighs any damage that might come from looking at a screen.
it just pains me how oblivious many parents are when it comes to the impact of media especially on small children. I'm sure they all had a great time but there are better ways.
