What is Your Definition of Making Out?
I am interested in what you all define as "making out"? And if possible I'd like to hear from at least one female.
I do have a story/reason to go along with this, but I don't want to bias anything so I'm holding off until I get a few answers at least.

I'm curious to know how out of date my definition is, but when I hear the phrase "we made out," I picture a "make out" session which primarily involves extended deep tongue kissing. I don't think it includes any pleasures beyond first base.
Mom caught you with the picture of Gisele again, eh?
kissing
pashing
snogging
facemashing
etc
I always hated the phrase making out.
who said "making out" can't involve orgasms? god?
Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)
Making out for me would be extended, deep, open mouth kisses and maybe a bit of over the clothes fondling.
Heavy petting and above.
aa-aand.. seat wetting.. (rocky horror)
With nosy kids around.. if you have enough privacy to 'make out' then you better call it foreplay and get on with it. You never know when they're coming back from playing.
Making out would be lying together on a big couch sipping beers and watching a good foreign flick.
I'm still holding out for some more
evidenceanswersIt's a long story, but making out to me involves a clay bunny kissing a stuffed bear.
An extended kissing session at the very least. Fondling in or outside of clothes at the very most. Anything beyond this is either foreplay or sex.
Holding hands while looking lustfully at each other
Ill require a a goat two chickens and a tub of Vaseline.
There is no words there, to make out... what the fuck does that mean?
Fuck it will do it live.
It involves forming your hand into a kind of fist shape, making a slight hole with the thumb...
Tonsil Hockey
depends from personal exsperance with annyone under 13 it involves nudity annyone over 80 its not realy making out unless there is a shaterd hip
OK, so here's the story behind my asking this.
My g/f and I were talking a while back and the definition of making out came up...and our definitions varied quite a bit. My definition would be right there with Dag's: kissing, over the clothes fondling, generally stuff that's not going to involve climaxing. Her's involved a bit more...including oral sex. I've talked to a couple guys and they are with me. Her lady friends share her view.
After hearing that I can't help but think of all the past g/f's that said they've only been with X number of guys, but they've "made out" with a couple dozen. Worse yet is all the girls I've made out with, but could have "made out" with. And by "making out" apparently I mean making out with my penis.
We're the same age so it's not an age thing, so maybe it's a gender thing? Or just our circle of friends maybe. And if that was the case 10 years ago, I wonder what kids today consider "making out", anal?
So yeah, ultimately it's not important, but I'm fascinated by the differing definitions and wanted to know what you all think.
^Reminds me of a scene from Clerks.

As a someone slightly removed from being a "kid today", I can tell you that making out does in fact include anal.

I believe Family Guy had an episode that sort-of addressed this -- Since all of the kids at James Woods High learned that abstinence was the only acceptable form of birth control, they had taken to having ear sex. The episode does not address whether the kids considered that to be "making out" or "going all the way."
"Over two hundred reports of ear sex have been confirmed so far, prompting a new slogan, 'Once you go black, you go deaf.'"
