RIP Joystiq :(
The rumours that Joystiq is shutting down are now official, which makes me incredibly sad. That was my go-to videogame news site (not to mention a favourite podcast of mine), so now I'm wondering what my main source of gaming news is going to be. There are a few sites I visit semi-regularly (Destructoid, Polygon, Shacknews, etc.), but none quite scratch that same itch.
What's everyone's favourite gaming news site?
(And no, this probably doesn't belong on the main sift talk page, but this place is a ghost town anyway, so... Plus, I know a lot of us are gamers, so, somewhat relevant, right?)

Where is the official post from there? I can't find it? I used to go that web site from other web sites' links. I don't game and read gaming sites (e.g., Blue's News and still the best IMO) anymore these days even after I was laid off last week.
Apparently the bottom has been dropping out of the Game site market for a while now. Mostly as a result of the rise of Youtube game channels and the fact that tech-savvy gamers tend to use adblock.
I have been reading Blue's News on a daily basis for many years and just follow interesting links from there. It's how I found this place .
There's no official post on Joystiq itself, but one of their writers posted this on twitter:

Their last day posting content is Tuesday, apparently.

Thanks.

Massively too, but then it is connected to Joystiq too? When did that happen?

I am so out of the gaming scenes!
Disappointing, joystiq were definitely one of the better sites. For me, I read blues news for general info and polygon, pc gamer, and Zero Punctuation (more for comedy than actual recommendations).
Joystiq, Massively and WoW Insider are all for the chop. They are all owned by AOL, who are apparently tired of propping them up.
Rumours abound that other sites are also in financial trouble and may also be closing. It's a shame, as having all news and reviews concentrated into a less diverse group of places isn't good for anyone.
Joystiq lives!
