No More Sock Puppets.
If you have one- stop using it. It's not good for the Sift- and up there with self-linking as a form of self promotion that we want to prevent.
If you suspect a sock-puppet from this point on, please send me a private profile comment and I'll check it out.
I don't consider this squealing- I would just like us all to police the Sift to try and keep things as meritorious as possible.
We could make IP addresses viewable by certain level members- but there are privacy issues that are probably best left out of the mix.

Not endemic- but it's out there. Just don't want it to be a wink-wink kind of rule.
This rule has been in place since the inception of the Sift - but we've enforced it on an ad-hoc basis - without making a big deal about it.

Anyway, like I said before "sbelau" is one of my best friends and he uses my PC sometimes, but I told him not to upvote anything that I submitted from my house. Hopefully that's good enough.
gwiz665Sockpuppetry undermines the very foundations of Videosift, so obviously if a case is proved it should dealt with harshly and swiftly.
