Ideas for Collectives

Here are few ideas I had for Collectives for the news sift 3.0

1. Campaign 2008:
This election is going to be a shit show, I am sure it might benefit the sift to put election related videos into one pile.

2. Philosophy:
Tonnes of videos are showing up online from great classic philosophers and a new breed of internet inspired philosophy. could be a great collective.

3. Mid Century Toons:
Place for all those classic looney tune, tom and jerry, foghorn leghorn etc...

4. Stoners Collectives:
Place for all the stoners to hang out and share drug related videos, and drug policy activism videos.

5. Activism:
Videos about protests and other acts of activism

6. Ecosift:
For all the granola eating hippys out there...like myself.

7. Mains Stream News Media:
Faux news makes the top of the sift on a daily basis, it would be great to get all these horrible acts of journalism into one collective.

I'm sure I will think of more, but there are few to brew your brain with for awhile.

A cartoon sift would be nice.
(Animation collective) For all the non family guy, simpsons, south park etc. toons.

And the the activism collective could be called:
left leaning biased media - to ad a bit of lightheartedness and combat the conservatives with their greatest nemesis - irony

James Roe says...

"We still need a nature collective"

There is a nature channel, we'll be recruiting people to manage channels that already exist in the 3.0 switch, and merging those that overlap. I'm looking at you arts collective.
