A generic Stumbleupon browse brought me to the "best lightsaber duel" sift.

I too lurked a bit...enjoying the comments of folks like MLX, Deathcow,Dag and Snake. (where are you? )
One day Dag was asking lurkers to un-lurk and say hi. I did and started posting soon after.

I first found this site through Blues News, which features vids from here almost daily. Go to the "Out of the Blue" section and look under Media. I think the first video I saw here was the famous Jake ukulele...!
Ant is a regular contributor there also.

Ran into it while looking for some random video, and started to watch the video when I realized the comments weren't at all like Youtube comments. Wonder of wonders.

Someone in irc linked to a video here. At first I didn't even realize there was a queue and I couldn't figure out why these videos only had like 5 or 6 votes. Once I found the queue it all made sense.

Found it through Blues News as well. I've been reading Blues for years and noticed that a lot of the vids from the "Out of the blue" section were coming from here. So I trolled around for a bit, then registered so I could vote and eventually started sifting myself and have never looked back.

One of my Youtube vids started getting loads of views and I couldn't understand it. Checked out the incoming links and it was VS. Instantly hooked.
So then I signed-up and posted a self-link. D'oh!

Blues news brought me here, I can't recall what made me post though... So many people came and left, some we remember many we forget. I still miss Daphne and Snake. Wow that seems like so long ago now.

A friend of mine forwarded a vid to me... I believe it was This One. I joined not long after that, but lurked for long time just voting and occasionally commenting... probably months before I got up the nerve to submit my first post... I was very afraid it wouldn't get published and I'd be rejected... had thought all of the good vids had already been posted... and that was almost a year ago, look at the Sift now!

As for me, I found the Sift while googling for a video I no longer remember. Left, without knowing where I found it never to return, but via google found the video here again trying to share it with someone else a couple of days later. That visit I took a few minutes to watch a couple of vids and was hooked. After a few weeks or so, I finally could no longer resist the urge to cast a vote, signed up, and haven't left since.

Bluesnews lead me here too...I tend to be alittle less, shall we say, "casual" there. The Sift is the place for my alter-ego to go relax, be merry, and exchange/increase my knowledge in all things video. Who in the hell are all you people from Blues? I'm assuming you've changed alias' or are/were lurkers? I'm actually really curious to know now...

Blues News as well. I can't remember which video it was that brought me here first, or which comment / post convinced me to register, but I do recall what convinced me to "un-lurk:" I was recently on vacation with a bunch of friends and one of them called me out for constantly saying "Did you see that video on YouTube...?"

So I guess it was Ant who brought me here. Thanks Ant!
