Have you heard of Larry Sinclair?

He's some idiot who's saying that in 1999, he and Barack Obama enjoyed cocaine and gay sex together. He had a press conference today at the National Press Club.

First off, he acknowledged his 27-year long record of committing fraud and petty crimes. Then his disbarred lawyer showed up wearing a kilt, because pants were too uncomfortable for people as well-endowed as he is.

No one took Sinclair seriously, and immediately after the conference, he was arrested by the Washington police as a fugitive from justice.

This is the most hilarious possible ending to this lunatic's crusade.

Here's a clip from the conference:

I'm actually a little concerned at the speed with which slimy people who the Republican noise machine tries to tie to Obama wind up being arrested.

Rezko was arrested almost immediately after the debate where Clinton used his name to attack Obama, now this idiot.

I'd fully expect this administration to try to make the trials for these two men into a public spectacle aimed at smearing Obama. If their court dates are mid-October, it's a near guarantee.

They've also been targeting September for trials for the MCA show trials for the Guantanamo detainees, though that's already being pushed back to after the election, last I heard (and may not happen now, in light of the SCOTUS decision).

I'm actually shocked that the media hasn't covered Obama's campaign of contradictions. He projects himself as a great Unifier. He uses the metaphor of his race to argue that he is uniquely suited to bridge differences between liberals and conservatives, young and old, rich and poor. Yet his actual agenda is highly partisan and seems to undermine many of his stated goals.

He wants to stimulate economic growth, but his hostility toward trade agreements threatens export-led growth

He advocates energy independence but pretends this can occur without more domestic drilling for oil and natural gas.

Of course maybe that's the defining mark of a true politician, being able to speak to one side while the other hears a different message.
