Getting sifted?!?

Do any of you sifters have some advice for me as to getting a video to the front page; i.e. time of day, day of the week, ect. I've noticed it gets harder and harder to get votes once the days start passing. I really want to get out of my probationary status so any knowledge would be really great.

Maybe my videos aren't the best, but I really want be able to get multiple videos up and to be able to down vote. Also the little "P" next to my account name is a little embarrassing.

Thanks

P.S. Happy holidays!

Well, I just voted your first video out of the queue, so no more P. Beyond that really the best suggestion I have is to just stick with it. There is a certain 6th sense to sifting and if you stick around you will start to get a feeling for what the community craves.

Welcome to the sift you full fledged member you.

I'm not too keen on the "and to be able to down vote" part of this, but... yeah... The Christmas Story Trailer was worth an upvote, nonetheless. Welcome to the Sift, bleedingGumsSnowMan.

If you're lazy, you can just sift every Ron Paul, cute cat/dog, or Richard Dawkins video on the Internet. But you're above that sort of pandering, right?

I'm assuming that you know you can requeue your video and send it back up to the top of the unsifted videos page. You can do this every 2 days per video. So keep a good eye on them. Another useful tool is the "Top 15 Videos Expiring Soon" list on the unsifted video page. If you've got a video over 3 days old that has over 5 or 6 votes, there's a good chance it'll post to there for every boy, girl and tranny to see. The more views, the better chance you'll be sifted.

You can also try befriending fellow sifters by conversing and sharing view points in a manner that might lead them to share your views and possibly behoove them to keep an eye out for your posted content. Posting to sift talk and becoming outspoken and involved always works too

anyway, *quality question and good luck to your future posts

PS: I've notice Sunday afternoons/evenings are a pretty busy time.
