Nice! I've got three pals who we all sit up and play the Game of Thrones boardgame until 3 in the frikkin morning. We've each read all the books, helluva game, and a helluva series.

Cant wait until HBO comes out with their miniseries.

They(George, Connie and the other) were all really great. It seems like he is under a tremendous amount of pressure to finish the books and he wants to take his time.

That said, I really wish he would finish A Dance With Dragons...

I also learned that Tyrion is George RR Martin, according to Parris his girlfriend.

On a side note, I have been rereading the series. I have several suspicions.

1) Jon is Rahgaer and Lyanna's son.
2) Tyrion is going to be the hand to Dany.
3) Dany is going to betray Jon for love, by telling him she does not love him so he does not break his vow to the wall.
4) Howland Reed will tell Jon of his parentage.
5) Jon is the 'Prince who was promised' and will rule the Westeros.
6) The one of the three heads of the dragon is Tyrion.
7) Brienne says "Jamie".

I got as far as George RR Martin and 1st edition and now all I can say is - AWESOME!

I am about to read book 4 - after wanting to reread the first 3 again

im part way through book 1. got distracted by RL, but i'll get back into it. ive 2 and 3 on my shelves ready, and maybe 4. cant remember

not first editions but I do have books 2 3 and 4(this is probably first as bought when it came out have not checked though) in hard back
