I think the way the collective rank is figured should be changed. It currently gives preference to collectives based more on age than the quality of the videos. Because rank is based on total votes.



A better and more impartial system would be to calculate it based on the collectives votes per video average on a whole.



You simply take the total number of votes divided by the total number of videos, then rank collectives by that value in declining order.



For example my humanitarian collective has an average vote per video total of 18.38, the late night collective ranked right above mine has an average of 25.18. And the sports collective currently number 1 has an average of 21.58.



I think this would take age and the number of collective videos out of the equation and instead look at the overall quality of the collective's videos to the sift as a whole when calculating rankings.
