An amazing auditory experience!

Though this is completely non-Sift related, I wanted to share this.
Maybe this one just slipped me by, but I just listened to the coolest thing. Basically, you put a set of headphones on, and you play the sound file. If you didn't know any better, you would swear you were getting a haircut!
This uses something called holophonic sound to convince the listener that they are actually in the setting that is being portrayed.
The website is found here.
Just wait till the guy whispers "in your ear."

If you have 5 spare minutes, I highly suggest it.
I think it would help if you had a nice set of headphones. I have Bose Quiet Comforts, and I'm sure that makes it all the much better.

Isn't it amazing how technology makes mundane things entertainment? A few weeks ago I was playing a waitress simulation game and wondering why such a tedious job could be so much fun on the puter.

Holy shit thats creepy. I am on Sony MDR-V700s and all my colleagues thought I was on a bad trip because I constantly looked around me to check where the voices came from... Thanks for that!

i had a tape that did this when i was a kid. it had a whole waking-up-in-the-morning routine, with shaving and such... getting in a car, bee stuck in the car... it also did the haircut routine, but it's such a bad haircut that you end up leaving the barber shop with a paper bag over your head, which i must say is awesome. from there it goes into Poe's Telltale Heart... very very creepy, and very well done.

i wish i could find that tape again...
