Totally subjective. I still roll with classic - not to belittle Campion's great design, because it's fab - but black websites say "WoW Forum" to me.

I roll with classic because it's bright and cheerful and because I enjoy slowly burning my retina away from my monitor's blinding white output.

I don't play WoW, so I'm immune to its forum effects. But they're not the first website or forum to use black.

I stare into computer monitors all day (who doesn't) and the blinding white makes my eyes bleed.

And dag: It's not subjective. All graphic decisions are made by me. I'm the decider.

I just changed it over to dark. I remembered I liked this better.

Dark is horrible because when you look away from the screen all the white text is imprinted on your retina for way too long, which for me at least fucks up my vision for a few minutes after looking away or changing to another site.
