Poor Kitty. I work at a pound and there are a sadly low number of lolcats. Most of them are frightenedcats or sickcats who don't lol often. A lot of them are getting dehydrated like your cat because of the heat. I hope your cat gets better. IVs are a pain but they do often save lives.

Thanks e'rybody." He's a bit better tonight. They think he'll make a recovery in the next two days. I'll have to hang IV bangs for him the rest of his life, and it appears his life could be somewhere between a number of months to several years. He's a young cat, but he's also a full breed (aka inbred) so he's probably gonna see a maximum of 2 years and a minimum of who knows.

I'll just be glad to get him home. Thanks to all of you who gave their understanding and love. Thanks!

Reminds me of my cat Smokey. She was siamese and great. She had a kiddny infection about half way through her life, and got very ill for a few days, but with the vets help she pulled through. I think one of the kiddneys may have failed, but i cant remember the details now. She was back to being active after she recovered and lasted 13 years being loveable. I hope Maceo makes it too.

Here's an update for anyone who might be interested. Maceo's BUN and creatinine levels are down. What does that mean, you ask? Well, it means his toxins are lowering and he's gaining his strength. He looked ready to come home tonight.
