Nunavut?
The Globe and Mail has an entire section of their website dedicated to Nunavut, and it's not pretty.

News Articles, Videos, Picture Galleries, Statistics - it's quite comprehensive.

Check it out. Comment. I'll do my best to answer any questions you may have.

And I'm cross-posting it because I'm crazy like that.

Looks pretty awful. Following a quick glance at your bio, I see you live there. A recent move?

Be safe

I carry a piece of 15" pipe up my sleeve when I walk. That is my advice.

Residue - yes, a recent move back (I am originally from here, moved away for school).

BoneRemake - my advice is don't move up here and carry weapons. That's asking for trouble.

That's some gorgeous looking news reporting right there. Dateline NBC's got nothing on these guys.

Interesting problem. It makes it tougher to compare when you're talking about such an enormous area with such a small amount of people. That same thing seems to happen when people talk about Alaska and you want to say, "well of course you have a high crime rate when you have ten people policing 100,000 square miles with two or three roads."
