Every tv show I've ever seen taped has at least one of those guys. They try to make the event a party.

The worst one I've ever seen is for the show Battledome. I used to work as a PA on that show, and they'd bring in busloads of uninterested people from the neighborhood, and unfortunately they filmed in a bad part of town so the audience could care less about some cheeseball throwing out t-shirts or playing silly games of charades between takes.

If there was a laugh track on that, I swear, I'd think I'm watching a sitcom.

Zack couldn't tell he had a camera pointed at him? I think not. He's been in the business too long.

No seriously - Zach Galifianakis went to see Ellen, right? Coz that's what he'd do. But he didn't know that it was a daytime show for middle class white women, ok? And then they were warming up with some dancing to r&b, and he was genuinely surprised by how lame it was - fortunately our hidden cameras caught his reaction, and it's now on zachgalifianakis.com !

What do you find implausible about this realistic scenario?

I'm comfortable with the fact he knew what was going to happen at a taping of Ellen. It's still funny.

I'm surprised Zach is the only one standing around with a look of befuddlement.

This is actually a very old video. I saw this several years ago, wayyy before Zach boomed in popularity this year. And I was originally under the impression that he was there with his girlfriend, of whom is a big fan of the show.

EDIT: I'm assuming it's the girl next to him, who looks almost equally as awkward.

The only taping I ever went to was for the Zach Galifianakis show. lol
