Visual Multiplication is Incredible

Mind blown.

Upvoted even though the title got it wrong. Visual multiplication is just normal multiplication done visually. I liked it best when she showed what multiplication really is at the end with the single area of intersecting rows and columns. A friend of mine didn't know that a number squared was called "squared" because it represents the area of a square with sides of that length. How easily we lose sight of the forest for the trees.

I'm gonna save this and show to a client of mine who has huge problems with multiplication. Guess I will have to translate it first though, since her English is pretty bad as well...

I was amazed when she extrapolated the "standard" multiplication into the multiplication of polynomials. I had never thought of that before...color me dumbfounded (it's kind of like periwinkle)
