you guys need a david attenborough

We grew up with Attenborough doc's on PBS. His voice and their productions were of the highest standard in the US. I think it was sometime in the late 80's everything went to shit.

^David Attenborough

Hey, what about George Page? ...guess nobody remembers him, or that great voice.

I had the chance to work with Attenborogh a few years back. He was impressively interested and aware of the biology around him. Camara men, sound guy, and director were all top notch professionals, but Attenborough was that (while shooting) AND generating hypotheses about why covered termite paths took the course they did.

From what I recall, it really wasn't until the late nineties when animal shows became garbage. Reality shows wrecked them. All of a sudden the Discovery channel went from interesting, fairly in-depth documentaries about the lives of animals to THE WORLD'S DEADLIEST SNAKES! and other sort of low attention span oriented shows with just a string of thirty second segments. Aside from that, now it's all shows about asteroids destroying the earth.
