marinarasays...obviously they should have fixed maphack before they released sc2. Fail.
RedSkysays...Would have, but they were too busy adding Facebook integration.>> ^marinara:

joedirtsays...TryHumanOut 295
Add him and send some msgs.

Jinxsays...Sadly he'll probably buy another account and do the same thing...
I'm not surprised this maphack exists. Its really impossible to stop, too much demand for them and too many scripties willing to supply for the right money. Quite fortunate the replay system can pick up on hacks like that so easily. This guy was pretty blatently hacking, others will do a better job of hiding it but it only takes one guy to check a replay and put it on youtube...I guess some things are going to be harder to spot though. If its possible to map hack its probably not a big step from simply having some sort of overlay telling you their supply, buildings, units etc.
robvsays...I can't tell if this is a serious comment or not. Obviously fail.

coolhundsays...So youre telling me that Blizzard proudly announced their new improved Battlenet and even force it in LAN play only that people can still use such easy hacks?
Oh man... how old is the maphack problem in Blizzard games now? 15 years? lol...
joedirtsays...Blizzard are basically world laziest people.
They have a 15 year old game they introduced like 2005 level graphics to.. with same mechanics, units, maps, everything. They sit on this game development forever..
And meanwhile it is identical to WC3 and has every single exploit.
They dump all this stuff in the registry, so it serves them right.
They dump a ton of stuff like in game APM, etc. all these things are in the registry.. So of course you can hack out the memory location for fog of war on/off. Why can't the design the game better? If battle net is sending your machine every unit position, why can't the battle.net servers only send you fog of war info?
Croccydilesays...I guess its gotten to the point they simply stopped caring because people will buy the game anyways. A friend of mine is SC2 gaga and cant get enough of the game as it is despite its problems. He plays it because its Starcraft, not because its good or he likes it.
Then again they dont really have much of an excuse despite the PC platform, they have all sorts of anti-hack checks in WoW now it makes no sense why they would not try to extend this to SC2. Doing this sort of thing in WoW now (teleporting around the world, if that even still works) will pretty much get you insta-banned.

WOW is a subscription game. If people get pissed about hacks and stop playing, it costs Blizzard money. If you're pissed off about hacks in Starcraft, you've already given them your money.
