Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea - Intro

This show, as I recall, used to be on Nickelodeon very early in the morning, and I would watch it sometimes if I woke up early and couldn't get back to sleep (and I was visiting my granny, who had cable). Its original French title is Les Mondes Engloutis ("The Engulfed Worlds"), and I remember liking it, though it certainly was odd and I don't remember much of it. Mostly I remember the talking hovercraft (who doesn't talk in the intro-nobody does besides the narrator) and the singing pirates.

Does anyone else remember this show?
