deputydogsays...Whoever did that must've been obsessed.
Wumpussays...I miss the symphonic midi music of games back then. Really brings me back.
UmberGryphonsays...This person played in an emulator that allowed them to reload at any time in the middle of any level. They reloaded 34959 (yes, almost THIRTY-FIVE THOUSAND TIMES) to get it this fast. I think "obsessed" does fit the bill.
skfortysays...it says it was a "tool assisted" movie. Alot of these speed runs are done on emulators and those emulators have the ability to "save state" which is saving the exact position of your game, anywhere, then you can "load state" and pick up from where you saved it. So for example, the mario 3 run that was so popular a while ago, was done this way, constantly saving and reloading states to create a "perfect" run.. Not sure about this specific movie, but ALOT of the older console speed runs are done this way, but thats what he meant by "tool assisted" movie. Still very impressive either way. But yeah, it would be much harder if it was all 1 run. These runs are usually done just for the ART of it.
southblvdsays...I still play this game on my Genesis.
