Russian Floaty Lady Dance

Enzobluesays...

I could probably restrain myself and do this during rehearsal, but I would toss a mouse on stage just to see the skirts fly if I was there. BTW are they on their toes that whole time ya think?

Beneath the floor is a complex machine containing very powerful magnets. All the dancers have to do is wear large metal plates on their feet and wave their arms a bit. ;-)

So they are all standing on a roomba?

AeroMechanicalsays...

It looks like underneath their skirts their legs are a furious blur of little baby steps. This would probably be pretty funny looking without the hoop skirts.

Either way, if I was taking hallucinogenic drugs and I saw this live, I would seriously lose my shit.

Crunchysays...

Brilliant, the botox smile and stare combined with the floating movement effect would scare the fudge cake mix out of me if one were to approach me in real life.

no upvote for too much editing. Live performances like this or music concerts should have little or no editing IMO. It ruins the experience. What they teach you in Aesthetics of Video and Film shouldn't be applied 100%. Watching a video of a live event shot by someone in the audience is always better than TV/Film style production with many camera angles. You loose sense of the actual performance. Camera angles and editing should add and enhance the experience not take away from it.
