Plumber Causes Major Flood In Apartment

Landlord calls plumber who foolishly tries to repair a leak without first turning the water off. He did not want to pay the $150 water shut-off fee and instead causes over $10,000 in damage to two apartments.

In my house I run 60Lb of pressure. That looks way f-ing more.

Way more than you need. Looks like you could fill the tub in 3 minutes.

I don't understand how this is possible?

In our apartment there is multiple ways of shutting down water. Levers everywhere to stop water.

It's like watching a man with explosive diarrhea refusing to lift the lid of the toilet he's sitting on.
It makes me actually angry enough to put on purple pants. The plumber's guild should hire an assassin to take him out for sullying their reputation.

Because he's a plumber, and you don't know he's an idiot until shit goes south.

And in this scenario are you really in the room watching? More likely something you would find out about after the fact. You just kinda assumed they knew what they were doing when they closed the door and said they had to take a shit

This is why you only hire licensed and bonded plumbers. Sure they can sue him...but for what? A shop vac?
$150 to turn off the water? It's simple, use a wrench to turn the valve...why pay?
