I highly doubt that O'Reilly consistantly gets over 1 million viewers, at least I hope there aren't that many idiots in this country, err, sigh, nevermind.

I'm just glad I don't have Jane Hall for a professor. For someone who "teaches"/"researches" media...she sure doesn't know what she's talking about...at least vis a vis young people.

According to the Nielsen ratings, O'Reilly gets 2 to 2.5 mil viewers. This may sound like a lot but it is very, very small for television; he is not even in the top 10 watched shows on cable, and his show is routinely beaten by the Disney channel and wrestling. This is just speculation: perhaps O'Reilly feels threatened by the Daily Show and Colbert Report because they may take the few viewers he has.
