Indeed. If people haven't noticed yet, there are some things that are good for everyone which, in the absence of government forcing it would not happen.

Also, the libertarian argument for limited government is great and all, but going crazy overboard and applying it to everything under the sun is just so tired.

Capitalist fundamentalist condemns socialist fundamentalism. Hint: It's not capitalism or socialism that's the problem, it's fundamentalism. The two systems work best together.

bad men can turn any good system to their benefit...
corrupted socialism is easy to spot, because its basically a dictatorship
corrupted capitalism is not so easy, but its basically what the US has now... the ILLUSION of choice

Capitalism and socialism are two faces of the same coin. As we move further and further into the 21st century this is becoming more and more obvious. A government without tradition and a cultural framework is nothing more than a corporation. As both tradition and culture become eroded (they are almost non-existent by now) we will see the complete and utter merger of these two systems.

You can't pretend to be an economist, after something like this. This is something quite other than economics. Love him or hate him, he is an utter fraud of an economist. "It is important to distinguish between two sets of moral considerations", says the Cold War-era apparatchik. "Our side or theirs", he means.
