Cavebear, that's because most of today's "Christians" are not Christians at all. They are followers of "Poor Richard's Almanack".

Most Christians think "the Lord helps those who help themselves" is somewhere in the scripture. Modern Christian churches are about self-empowerment, social cohesion and wealth.

Serious question here. I appreciate that this is an interesting piece of Philosphical exposition but surely it deserves a *lies tag? If for no other reason than it's a man pretending to be God?
