Largest illegal black market of guns in pakistan

The Gun Bazaar of Pakistan. Largest illegal black market of guns.

Reminds me of what you could see on Canal Street in NYC, except they had rather many more knock-off Coach and Prada handbags than Kalashnikov rifles. And no hills.

"Zindabad", eh? Cool phrase to know.

Great find randeep - this should go straight up onto the top 15 if people are paying attention!

And sadly, this is why we cannot win in Afghanistan.
This is near the afghan border and is a breeding nest for ideology and weaponry.
It baffles me to this day when I hear that the U.S is allied with Pakistan in the fight against Terror.

This is from the Vice Guide to Travel. If you've read Vice you know what they like to do.

Basically they do really messed up stuff like this and going to chernobyl to get drunk on vodka and hunt mutant boar. There is this other section where they goi into the jungles of brazil to find hiding nazi war criminals. That clip was really whacked...

I keep wondering about the word "illegal". Illegal according to whose laws? Something tells me it's not Pakistan's. This may be the original source of many illegal guns here in the states, but I find it hard to believe Pakistan even has gun laws.

I wish they would have shown some of the amazing craft happening there. I know that the end result of this whole trade is mostly senseless bloodshed, but these guys can make a kalashnikof from scratch with hand tools for fucks sake! And the host, he looks like Jean Reno, just a little bit.

AnimalsForCrackerssays...

Are you implying its merely a male impulse to admire weaponry(in all forms) & the history/culture deeply rooted in it? I know some chicks who love them their gunnery. I'm more fascinated by this than what the end result can sadly sometimes be. Guns don't kill people, people kill people.

Edit: Thanks Phelixian, I will now to proceed to check that out. Chernobyl-boar hunting sounds fun!

Those apaches would also take down the dozens/hundreds of little kids working at the ammo stalls, so maybe not a good idea, Peroxide.

Krupo, you weren't to know your comment doesn't apply to me, my bumper sticker says, afterall, "A shopping centre is a poor substitute for a community".

The testoserone flows....

What excuse me? Pakistan is a country that is half run by dictatorial law, with the majority of areas being entirely autonomous of each other. The gun market that is there has been there since the days of the soviet invasion of Afghanistan. Its really one of the few places in the world where I wouldn't want to be caught dead unarmed, alongside Somalia.

When I lived in Kuwait there was a cross border gun market as well, filled with soviet era and American weapons. Because for the US Army it's cheaper to sell off bulk mass to the government then to freight it all back to the US.

Guns will proliferate wherever there is conflict. But I don't believe that blanket elimination of all weaponry will lead to some kind of Utopian society of no crime, people will just find new ways to kill each other, you know nonlethal ways like microwaving you from a far.

But in no way can I understand why civilians should be allowed to own an assault rifle that has armor piercing capabilities, a weapons range is good enough to fire off all your testosterone.

HadouKen24says...

He thinks these people will continue doing this for ever? No one could stop them? maybe 5 apache copters could take this place down in a second,

You think? Helicopters are notoriously vulnerable to small arms fire. Sure, Apaches are great at taking out tanks and things, but a city? That'll require anti-personnel munitions, which will require coming nice and close--close enough that fire from RPG's, machine guns, and high caliber rifles will pose a serious risk. I suspect that it would take a lot more than five Apaches to do the job.

The testosterone in this thread is overpowering.
Considering that these weapons may be used to slaughter women and children - I don't see the coolness factor.
Guns are bad -'m-kay?

Oh, right, because nothing else can. Not cars. Not knives, not poisons, not a freakin soda can ripped in half...

Almost anything can be used to kill someone, "m-kay"?

10419says...

haha marinegunrock, no one is arguing that knives and poisons are cool. also most knives aren't designed with killing or severly injuring people in mind. alot of guns are.

dont get me wrong, i love guns too, but i think your statement might be abit silly.

also i found this 3 months ago and tried to post it, but videosift would always say the embeded code was invalid. F
