BreaksTheEarthsays...Would she be popular if she weren't hot? Me thinks not.
14137says...I agree. As an artist it's frustratingly amazing to see how far a set of tits will take mediocre art.
Fusionautsays...Hey, I think her art is fantastic. It's actually pretty sexist and chauvinistic to think that a woman can only be successful if she is attractive.
Check out her site if your still not convinced: http://www.jenstark.com/sculpture_13.html
And if you still don't like her art don't say it's because she has tits. The art world is still dominated by men so all the male artists out there don't really have to worry about a "pretty face" taking over.
13409says...Yeah, you can't really say her work's acceptance is because of how she looks. In the art world, it's probably working against her, actually. But in the mass media world? Here, for instance? Doesn't hurt...
HenningKOsays...Meh. I have to agree: pretty vapid.
The stuff around 5:15 is a bit more interesting, if you deign to watch the whole thing. But still... everyone in this video is really speaking without saying anything, heaping on the glittering generalities as if they were describing a Kincaid painting or a line of dinnerware.
If it wasn't presented as art, I'd say "Yeh, they're pretty cool" and move on...
But if you want to call what you're doing art, then make a personal expression. These evoke nothing for me except, "Neat."
gargoylesays...Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
