How bridges were built in Medieval times

The original language isn't English---an animated depiction how bridging was solved by medieval engineers---very, very patient engineers (though I doubt they assigned that same title to themselves--"engineers"?) --limited to human, animal, and hydraulic resources of power for lifting, pumping, pulling, and raising stone, timber, and water.

I'm sort of astonished.

Also: you had to be very patient to watch this stuff happen; I guess some building projects went on for 40 years; no wonder medieval guilds could exert power and then have father-to-son relationships handed off to patrons and each other.

Water wheel powered pumps like the one used to empty the dam have been used for 6000 years, and all of the techniques shown here were used in the ancient world.
