I'm convinced Enterprise wouldn't have been canceled if it weren't on UPN. Back in the TNG and DS9 days the shows were syndicated, and they did great. Even the devoted fans who looked up when and where to view it, on a channel they'd never otherwise watch, often couldn't see it because it was on some crappy UHF station. Now that Paramount's experiment with running a TV station has failed, I don't know why they don't greenlight another syndicated series.

Also, yes, horrible music.

The show had a lot dragging it down besides the theme song and network. As much as I like Scott Bakula, he was absolutely horrible as the captain, and half the rest of the cast were shit as well. The writing and stories were garbage from what I can recall. It was a mess all around.

The theme song alone probably annoyed 2/3 of their core fan base, right off the bat. It didn't have that star trek vibe, it was more of a mutant half-breed of televangelism and reading rainbow.
