Nice to see some other Eve Players here, I can't believe I missed this Sift! Am psyched for the new expansion, I just hope it doesn't bork the entire game for several weeks. Especially since am about to get an Ishtar.

I tried Eve Online because James recommended it to me, I really avoided MMOs up until that time and thought WOW was a bit stupid but I was hooked on Eve instantly.

Is it awesome? I had a trial subscription for a little while but I got bogged down in all the training missions and it expired before I actually got into the game proper. And what's the cost per month?

I loved Wing Commander and Starlancer, so if it's like those, then my verdict is quite possibly boom.

I would say it's more Elite and Privateer then Wing Commander or Starlancer, there is combat involved though and much of the game revolves around that. You need about 30 minutes to run through the training, but its a very involved game after that though, mining, mission running, PVP, trade, industry, piracy, research and development. Very sandboxy.

There is so many thing to say about this game. I've tried a great number of MMO (or so-called MMO), and this one is part of the few games that deserve the title of MMO Game. Well, I won't start to tell me felling about it, 'cause I won't stop

For information, all the scenes you can see in this video are in-game. It's not pre-rendered. The camera movement can be the same in-game too.

I've played this game when it was beta, and then, for the first year and an half. There wasn't the 1/10th of features that it has now.

And so, with the trinity patch, I think i'll make another run with my old battleship pilot

I Played EvE for a fair while from the very start. Went back to it again for a bit, and then left again, and had a strong reaction against it, due to a personal dislike of PVP and the ethos of some who played, and from the disgustingness of large corp hanger thefts from top rank corp players.

I assume the PVP models haven't changed one iota?

EvE is a harsh mistress. PVP is an opt in proposition for those that enter low sec areas, the rewards are greater but so is the risk. Finding a good corporation is a game in itself. Finding a good alliance even more so.

You should play it and see, there have been alot of changes with the patches.
