He does provide some useful information, but I don't approve of his use of a statistic for fear mongering. We are not going to shut ourselves from the rest of the world, our system of government would probably collapse before anything like that happens.

Commodity prices across the board have crashed, which includes the price of crude oil. If transportation costs are down, then isn't it obvious that shipping prices will fall?

Also, with the decline of the finished goods market... falling prices of transport comes off as a natural effect since there is less need for new goods. I guess I fail to see the problem here.
