Cat and Rabbit Mix = Crabbit? Catrab? Cabbit?

LiveLeak: 'Imperatriz, MA, Brazil. In a house where lives a male rabbit and a female cat, two strange kittens were born. They have characteristics of both species. '

This is an absolute impossibility.

The transcending of orders (in this case Lagomorpha and Felidae) is not possible because of insurmountable genetic variations. It's as ridiculous as a cat and and dog creating a dat or a cog.

What you're looking at may be a Manx cat (unlikely because I doubt many in Brazil can afford an exotic cat), but more likely a cat that got its tail chopped off so that the owner can get some airtime.

What and odd odd coincidence. My co-worker was just telling me the other day how her friend found a cabbit in her bushes. She was convinced a cat humped a rabbit or vice versa and poof, cabbit. I was trying to explain to her that this was impossible, but she was convinced. I heard that they're cats with some weird genetic mutation.

My mother claimed that she knew of someone who had a "crabbit" and I couldn't convince her otherwise. Of course, such a thing is impossible. (Shades of the jackalope. . .)

Pprt is correct. I once owned a Manx that I named Bugs (after Bugs Bunny) for the very reason that he had large hind legs (six toes on each paw) and this peculiar way of walking and running that was reminscent of a rabbit.
