Black Woman Convicted Despite "Stand Your Ground" Law

Marissa Alexander, a black mother of three from Florida, has been convicted for firing her legally owned and carried gun into the air in her own home while her abusive husband was (allegedly) assaulting her and threatening death after illegally entering her home, violating a restraining order.

No Zimmerman benefit of the doubt for her, and no protection under Florida's now infamous Stand Your Ground law.
